that’s a pretty cool pic, but it could come along with a page or two of explanation or discussion into dark matter and wat the theory is trying to prove or solve

It doesn’t, actually. I’ll tell you why: the brain is wired up under certain patterns having to do with cell grouping. Different kinds of cells group differently, et cetera. In short, the brain’s clusters of neurons don’t look anything like these clusters. These are less regular in some ways, and also form no similar functional bodies.
The similarities pretty much start and stop with the fact that there is a branching structure. With the scope of this image, you couldn’t tell if a brain-like topology were present without far greater resolution, but then there aren’t any brains of this scale, so we wouldn’t know what one would look like at the given scale and resolution.

I don’t understant why everyone has to be such smart asses. Just appreciate what’s there and if you don’t enjoy it get the hell over it and move on…I mean, damn, I was actualy interested and all, then I start reading and there’s nothing to read except the script to a complex soap opera…I dunno…my bad if it pisses someone off, I’m not tryin to, but if you are going to criticize so much then back yourself up by putting what YOU know, or YOUR links to the correct information. Now, like I said, I am not meaning any offense to anyone, and I sure as hell don’t know much about much, but it’s nice to get onto a cool site and actualy LEARN something other than reading people talking shit…Goodbye and have an awesome day. Looks pretty, but it would be a lot better if there was some correlation to the real universe… perhaps in a side-by-side comparison.

For a second I didn’t think my comment got posted, then I noticed it got collapsed into the right side. You might want to look into fixing that…

it should have been spherical….

#3, Yeah, sorry about that Kobra, it’s in the PHP. Kobra said:
“correlation to the real universe… perhaps in a side-by-side comparison.”
Check out the source link to Dr. Adi Nusser’s page above:

He goes into practical detail there.

why not link the actual site instead of a stupid blog. stop trying to get noticed.

Looks like the neural net of the brain

I think so too #11.

Good criticism #13. You’ve persuaded me.

Looks pretty, sure, but It should be sitting on the back of a Giant Turtle, for it to be accurate…

Scientific jargon aside, look at a section of the fractal that is your brain and tell me you don’t see a resemblance.

Sure looking at the entire fractal would look different, but that is how fractals work.
This one is also one of my favorites:

Sorry, can’t do that #17. I’m in too good a mood.

An explanation of Dark Matter under the pic would have been great.
